25 years of experience in architecture and laboratory design, over 17 years highly focused on science + technology related facilities for higher education, government and institutional markets with an emphasis on research and undergraduate science laboratories, animal facilities and health care related projects. Candidate has an expert depth of knowledge in laboratory programming and planning parameters; including lab functional models, lab staffing, departmental relationships and detailed lab design and technical issues. Candidate offers extensive, first hand experience with a broad variety of lab types with clients nationwide on new construction, renovation and retrofit projects in higher education, private industry and government.  Responsibilities included planning and design leadership, project team oversight, mentoring, cultivating business opportunities and new market sectors. As a key project team member, candidate is also responsible for coordinating team members and consultants, programming projects, conducting site visits, and all necessary communications and documentation needed to ensure successful completion of projects at each phase of the design and construction process. Known for innovative design and leadership, excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written and visual communication skills. Candidate is actively involved in several industry professional organizations, has been quoted in articles in many leading industry and trade publications, and regularly lecturers on the subject of laboratory design. Base salary at $110k.
