Recent Hires

Mary Vavra, RLA, ASLA, CLARB, LEED® Green Associate is a licensed landscape architect and urban planner bringing more than eleven years of professional experience working in privately-held landscape architecture/design firms to the company. She is a graduate of both Auburn University, where she earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree, and the University of Texas, where she received her Master’s degree in Planning and Urban Design. She has managed and coordinated planning projects from site analysis through the design process to entitlements, and her most recent work includes a low impact development guideline detailing innovative sustainable policies and practices. Mary is an active Board Member of Transit Now Nashville and member of the Nashville Civic Design Center.

April Grant, Land Planner, joins Lose & Associates with three years of professional experience in residential site master-planning design. Her skills include the production of project graphics, renderings, construction documents and documents for the LEED certification process. She earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Ball State University and is an active participant in the Nashville Chapter of the Urban Land Institute.

Promotions

Matthew Cramer, AIA, LEED® AP was recently promoted to the position of Director of Architecture. His architecture experience is highly diverse, spanning the areas of aviation, urban/master planning, recreation, commercial/retail and renovation/addition. He came to Lose from the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority where he served as the Construction Architect. His prior work experience includes thirteen years in a Project Manager role at multi-disciplinary firms designing commercial, aviation design-build and public projects.
